For nearly five years, Aaron Cortes served as a part-time tutor in À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ’s Center for College Access and Success while completing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Quickly establishing himself as a tireless worker, Cortes was promoted to coordinator of TRIO Upward Bound Math and Science.

If Diane Bou Khalil could aspire to be like anyone, she’d choose British-Iranian journalist Christiane Amanpour. With Bou Khalil’s passion for journalism, international background and education from À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, she’s on her way to walking in her favorite reporter’s footsteps.

À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ held its second annual President’s Inclusive Excellence and Diversity Awards on April 26 in Alumni Hall on the University’s Main Campus. It was also live streamed at El Centro and the Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS).

For the eighth consecutive year, Northeastern has received a Tree Campus Higher Education recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation.
