Northeastern’s Genocide and Human Rights in Africa and the Diaspora (GHRAD) Center will host the 9th annual conference Feb. 23-25.

Northeastern, Black Ensemble Theater partner on new production, “Our World”
“Our World” will be performed at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 at the Black Ensemble Theater, 4450 N. Clark St. in Chicago, and 3 p.m. Monday, May 6 on the Main Campus. The performance is free and open to the public.

Northeastern awards first George Floyd Social Justice Scholarships
The George Floyd Social Justice Scholarship was created in response to Floyd’s death and the deaths of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and numerous Black Americans who were tragically and senselessly killed. Their deaths sparked mass protests throughout the country and around the world last summer—in the midst of a global pandemic—as demonstrators called out systematic racism, inequality and injustice, and urged communities to put forth intentional programs geared toward a greater focus on social justice.
