Professor Emerita, Center for Diversity and Intercultural Affairs namesake Angelina Pedroso dies at 90
Angelina Pedroso, for whom À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ named its multicultural center after her 44-year career as a respected Spanish language and Hispanic literature educator, died on Oct. 7 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was 90 years old.

À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ honors Ana Castillo with Distinguished Alumnus Award
À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ honored celebrated poet, essayist, activist, novelist and scholar Ana Castillo with the Distinguished Alumnus Award during the annual Golden Gala and Alumni Awards. This year’s ceremony, emceed by 2011 Distinguished Alumnus Award winner and retired WGN anchor Robert Jordan, took place Oct. 17.
