In May of 2014, Claudia Hernandez earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ. It was the first major step in realizing her lifelong goal of becoming a social worker—a goal born from tragedy.

À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, in partnership with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) District 299, has been awarded a $40 million grant over seven years by the U.S. Department of Education to help at-risk students prepare for success in postsecondary education.

Extra Credit: A Partnership with Amundsen High School
