There’s still time to register for the 48th annual Chuck Kane Scholarship Golf Event, attend a new Multicultural Student Orientation or participate in Summer Safe Zone training if you’re a Northeastern staff or faculty member. Black History Month is about to kick off at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ! Among the many highlights is the return of an alumna who founded the Bronzeville Historical Society and will return for a lecture at the Carruthers Center.

Romanetha Looper was raising her two sons in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood, which is plagued with crime and poverty. This rough community is where Looper has planted roots and sees an opportunity for positive growth and change.
