When the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in March, forcing the rapid shift to remote teaching and learning for the rest of the Spring 2020 semester, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ’s Student Center for Science Engagement had just put out a call to the faculty for its Undergraduate Summer Research and Professional Training Program.

The Fall 2020 semester wraps up next week, but À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ is not slowing down.

À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ has been awarded a grant from the Governor's Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Fund to aid recruitment and retention efforts. Some of these efforts were mentioned in President Gloria J. Stage Center Theatre has launched a virtual theatre festival for social justice featuring works submitted by the NEIU community. Submissions are still being accepted for the festival as well as the Undocumented Cookbook and COVID-19 student archives.
