Northeastern’s University President gives a State of the University Address each year. This year’s Address is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 26 and will take place both in person and via livestream! Noteworthy at Northeastern: Juneteenth
À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ announced that beginning next year, Juneteenth will be officially observed as a University holiday. Members of NEIU also participated in the Say Their Names project, the University is part of the White House COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge, and NEIU for You is still accepting applicants. Noteworthy at Northeastern: Making college more accessible
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced on March 19 that starting in August 2021, all Illinois public universities will become part of the Common Application (Common App). Additionally, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation awarded a grant to the Prison + Neighborhood Arts/Education Project, and President Gibson issued a statement about the shootings in Atlanta, Georgia.
