Noteworthy at Northeastern: Getting ready for graduation
Northeastern will host a series of virtual Commencement ceremonies on May 9 to honor its Spring 2021 graduates. Plus, Psychology students and alumni presented at a national conference, NEIU Libraries are looking for student submissions for their COVID-19 archive, and there are self-care tips and virtual study sessions all next week to help students prepare for finals.

Noteworthy at Northeastern: Going Blue and Gold saves big green!
For the seventh year in a row, U.S. News & World Report has ranked À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ No. 1 for students who graduate with the least amount of debt among Midwest regional universities. NEIU also ranked highly in three other categories. This week, Northeastern also announced that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded the University a five-year, $3 million Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program grant. College of Arts and Sciences changes names of two departments, a major and a minor
À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµâ€™s College of Arts and Sciences has changed the name of its Art department to Art + Design and the department, major and minor of Women’s and Gender Studies to Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies beginning in the Fall 2020 semester.
