Northeastern earns 2021 Tree Campus USA recognition
For the seventh consecutive year, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ has received a Tree Campus USA recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation.
À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ joins Grow with Google’s HSI Career Readiness Program to train 200,000 Latinx students in digital skills by 2025
À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ is once again partnering with Google as it joins the Grow with Google HSI Career Readiness Program. Northeastern is the only four-year institution in the state of Illinois to partner with Google on this initiative, which will help Latinx students at 35 Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) prepare for the workforce through digital skills training and career workshops.
Computer Science junior earns statewide award
Michael Abreu may be only a junior at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, but he has already accomplished a great feat. Abreu, a Computer Science major, was recently awarded the presented by the Illinois Technology Foundation.
À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ becomes part of the Common Application
In an effort to make applying to college easier, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ and all 12 of the state’s public universities will become part of the Common Application (Common App) for college applications starting August 2021.
