Noteworthy at Northeastern: Giving thanks

As we pause to reflect on the past year, À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ has a lot to be thankful for. We’re proud to have students and employees learning and working safely on campus. We’re appreciative of all who have worked so hard throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to get us to this point. We’re thankful for an optimistic outlook for the next generation of NEIU scholars, especially with the expansion of the NEIU For You scholarship. Noteworthy at Northeastern: Welcome to NEIU!

À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ will host a One Stop Admission fair to ensure prospective students have all the help they need to enroll. Mark your calendars now and plan to attend a special performance with Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater and a choir visiting all the way from Rome! Next week is also packed with other events including a blood drive at El Centro, a poetry slam at CCICS and the continuation of Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Heritage Month. Northeastern expands master’s concentrations, adds graduate certificate

À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµâ€™s Master of Public Health (MPH) program will now offer two concentrations—Public Health Promotion and School Health—beginning Fall 2021. Additionally, Northeastern’s Master of Social Work program added a specialization in School Social Work and the Master of Business Administration program added seven concentrations: General Business, Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Global/International Business, Information Technology and Public Health.

Noteworthy at Northeastern: Getting ready for graduation

Northeastern will host a series of virtual Commencement ceremonies on May 9 to honor its Spring 2021 graduates. Plus, Psychology students and alumni presented at a national conference, NEIU Libraries are looking for student submissions for their COVID-19 archive, and there are self-care tips and virtual study sessions all next week to help students prepare for finals.
