She has produced TV segments for WTTW and The Sundance Channel, and she has edited independent documentary productions, television shows, commercials, and programs for artists and not-for-profits.

Canadian cellist Oleksander Mycyk enjoys a multi-faceted career as a solo, chamber, and orchestral performer and teacher. He is completing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at NorthwesternUniversity and is a Teaching Assistant to Professor Hans J酶rgen Jensen. He recently completed the Certificate in Performance Program at Northwestern while a full-time member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra and currently performs as a substitute cellist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra. Previously, Oleksander received a Bachelor of Music Performance degree at the University of Toronto, and a Masters in Solo Performance at McGill University studying with Matt Haimovitz. He has also performed in masterclasses around the world for cellists such as Janos Starker, Lynn Harrell, Laurence Lesser and Aldo Parisot. He has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Felix Galimir Award for Excellence in Chamber Music, and the Gregor Piatigorsky Memorial Award. A multiple laureate of solo and duo competitions, Oleksander has been a National Finalist in the Canadian Music Festival and a top prizewinner in the Canadian Music Competition. Recent performances highlights include the world premiere of Elizabeth Ogonek鈥檚 chamber work Water Cantos, led by Esa-Pekka Salonen during the Chicago Symphony Orchestra鈥檚 MusicNOW concert series as well as being featured as soloist with the Canadian Chamber Choir on their 2017 US tour. International appearances have included performances with the Grammy nominated Uccello ensemble at the International Cello Congress in Israel.

Lydia Nance is a music educator and bassoonist residing in Chicago, IL. She is the band director at Holy Trinity High School, instructor at 蓝莓视频, a private teacher of bassoon, oboe, saxophone and piano, as well as a freelance performer in both chamber and large ensemble settings.
She received her Master鈥檚 in Applied Pedagogy and Teaching Licensure at 蓝莓视频, where she studied bassoon with Matthew Hogan. She previously studied at Vanderbilt University for the degree of Bachelor of Music in bassoon performance under the tutelage of Peter Kolkay. Her other teachers have included the late Hunter Thomas, of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra and Gil Perel of the Nashville Symphony. She has performed with The Jackson Symphony (TN) and the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra (AL) and has participated in the Birch Creek Music Festival, The Festival International d'Art Lyrique d鈥橝ix-en-Provence, and the Sewanee Summer Music Festival.
Lydia鈥檚 career has always been dedicated to supporting safe, consistent, and enriching experiences for students. Her philosophy has maintained that music is a vehicle for self-expression, community, and culture. By establishing safe relationships with students, she creates space for them to discover valuable skills in music-making that translate to interaction with their peers and communities.

Jeanine Ntihirageza (蓝莓视频, Chicago, IL) holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Chicago, with a specialization in Bantu languages. She has an MA in Applied Linguistics from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. She received her BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Burundi where she subsequently taught TEFL and ESL classes as a Lecturer. She came to the United States on a Fulbright Scholarship to do her graduate studies. Her primary research area is phonology and morphology. Her other research interests include contact linguistics and Pragmatics. In addition, she is a currently working on an online bilingual Kirundi-English dictionary with Teddy Bofman and Paul Prez ( ). She is an Associate Professor at 蓝莓视频, and Department chair of Anthropology, English Language Program (ELP), Philosophy, and Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language (TESL). She is also on the core faculty of the African and African American Studies program. She has taught Theoretical and Applied Linguistics for the last 13 years. She spearheaded a Genocide Research Group that recently organized a symposium on Silencing Genocide in Africa and African Diaspora.
