Accomplished Brazilian pianist will perform at À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ on Sept. 18.
Monteiro, who has won numerous piano competitions, including the second annual Martha Argerich International Piano Competition in Buenos Aires, began studying piano at the age of 4. Awarded a scholarship by Brazil’s Ministry of Culture, he earned a Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y.

- “Schumann: 2 Novelettenâ€
- “Albéniz: Suite Iberia (Book 1)â€
- “Oswald: 6 Pieces Op. 33 and Op. 36â€
- “Liszt/Klauser: Les Preludesâ€
